Synopsis , what i will talk about

I have added an item here on my website for you to read, in English or Spanish, It´s in both. Alfredo Lopez De Atunes about a roofless alcoholic man who was my friend when he was not drinking. it was my way to try to get him to enjoy the occasional drying out period although to this day I don´t know if it worked as he could manage to be the soberest possible person whilst well under the influence, and sadly he´s gone so it will always be a mystery, still it was wonderful to have known him.

THIS ITEM WILL BE HERE ON MY PAGE DURING THE BUILDUP TO THE GIBRALTAR LITERARY FESTIVAL, AND IF GIVEN THE CHANCE WE MAY WELL READ IT TOGETHER WHEN AND IF WE MEET. GRACIAS

keeping track of all the incredibly illustrious persons, personalitys and writers who will be attending the festival as speakers, the list seems to be growing each time I check, I decided that being as it was a literary festival I would read some of the most dramatic excerpts from my new book Malak which is soon to be published, this for the simple reason that the best way in which I express myself and my ideas is by writing books about them. I will of course talk as well, but, as I say  there are really some very interesting people coming to talk .

Synopsis.presentation Paul OGarra

I always wrote things down, all my life, but invariably lost interest and threw them away in subsequent disgust. Some years ago my daughter Tammy said to me “papa, don’t throw anything away at all, what you write never changes, only you do; deep, deep for a kid.

I had long ago decided that I would for ever believe in Santa Claus and In fairies, I suppose what I meant was that I could not understand why we were not allowed to see things as children for all of our lives, why not live surrounded by bliss and whirring gossamer, by gentle streams and adventures by clean and pure values and ambitions. And to an extent this is how I tried to be in my life. It was only in latter years when I fell ill that I realised that we actually had to put some back, perhaps more than we had taken. And then when against all odds I survived and my doctors and friends told me that the Lord was leading me by the hand that I came to see that it was true. My German doctor friend, he of the dry sense of humour phones me often so I recently asked him why so often? To which he replied,” To see if you´re still there. To my colleagues and I you´re a bit of a miracle, you should have gone years ago,” to which I reply, I only ask for fifty more years and don’t intend going till they´re spent.” Cracks him up for some “German” reason.

Anyway I thought if the Lord has let me live on I must fulfil his purpose, or at least make the effort, So here I am writing books which I hope will convince young people, and not so young folk that we the good will stop the bad in his tracks.
